She was so comfortable there. Her therapists were amazing and the equipment was fantastic.

The exercises helped her regain strength. They not only trained my mom, but they showed my sister, who lives with her, on how to get in and out of bed and a car. She was able to handle practical daily living skills when she went home. The entire staff of nurses, aides, and therapists gave her comfort. They brought her the sandwich she liked, they complimented her on her hair. They treated her like family. She’s been in many other facilities, but this one was a great experience. She still talks about and misses her ‘friends’!"

My mom is suffering from amnesia, paralysis and aphasia. It is a challenging job to care for her. It took a bit to get things sorted out; the staff made sure their needs were taken care of. No one wants to put their loved ones in a nursing facility. "We recently had to make the hard, emotional decision to place our mom in a nursing home. I am familiar with many local facilities through my job. United Hebrew is truly top of the line! It’s sparkling clean, bright and cheerful. There are lovely sitting rooms, activity areas, and a gorgeous courtyard off the lobby, adjacent to a lovely little café where residents and guests can get sandwiches and salads. From the wonderful admissions staff to the terrific and incredibly knowledgeable finance manager, our first interactions were reassuring and friendly. "After my 92 year old mother-in-law had surgery to repair her fractured femur, we began a frantic search for a rehabilitation hospital for her to receive the best care. We wanted the most empathetic and well trained physical and occupational therapists plus a caring medical team of professionals. We found all of our requirements at United Hebrew of New Rochelle. My Mother-in-law spent over a month relearning how to walk and after spending time with many of the Rehabilitation-trained therapists, she departed the facility in much better shape than she was in prior to her injury! United Hebrew provides valet parking which makes visiting a pleasure. They employ friendly and professional security staff that provide guests with a comforting smile when you enter their lobby. I was especially impressed with Matthew who was often sitting behind the desk when we walked in. Matthew also greeted us with a smile and patiently helped us sign in using their computer system.

The nurses and social work staff were very helpful and went out of their way to provide the kind of loving and professional care that made my mother-in-law’s transition to their center and recovery a positive experience.

On the first few days after her admission, Michael Joseph Bobrowski, Director of Social Work, would sit with her, by her bedside, and make sure that she was adjusting to United Hebrew’s environment. While my wife and I had never heard of this facility prior to this experience, I’m now a great advocate of recommending United Hebrew to our friends who are looking for short term and long term care."
